Galactus is Coming…to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Ever since Marvel Comics created its own movie studio back in ’08 there where much vaunted characters that remained with other movie studios. But as it turns out, time is running short on some high end characters.

Daredevil and the Fantastic Four have been apart of Fox for years now and the contract, for Daredevil at least, will end before the year is out. Currently, according to Variety, Marvel is in talks with Fox to allow them to keep Daredevil past the deadline of October 10th. Marvel will in turn get both Galactus and Silver Surfer in their stable.

If this goes through Joe Carnahan will direct. His version is said to be more like a Frank Miller tale, hardcore and something akin to a ‘70s thriller. This would be the most apt take on the Superhero as his is very similar to Batman in terms of it being a Crime Drama. This would be a harder sell to Disney, the now Parent Company of Marvel.

Chronicle director Josh Trank is slated to reboot the Fantastic Four franchise, but he may have to direct a few other movies before he gets to Fantastic Four, if not the four may revert back to Marvel anyway. This will be one to keep a close watch on for those of you hopping Marvel will get them back.

I liked the Fantastic Four but the villains where either under utilized or not adapted well. Trank seems to have the visionary chops to handle a property as expansive as the Fantastic Four. He might just be the guy to get them back on track. But only time will tell.

Wonder Woman: First Look At New Costume

There is a new Wonder Woman TV show in the works by Boston Legal's own David E. Kelly Here is a look at the photo. I think it looks pretty good. My only gripe is that it looks too shiny, but that could just be because of all the lights from photography. And I miss the red boots. But not too shabby, not too shabby at all.
