First Pics of Rusell Crowe as Jor-El

This is the first picture of Russell Crowe as Jor-El, the father of Superman. The suit looks like a type of formal wear of a militaristic type of society. It has an armor plated shoulder pads almost reminiscent of Lord of the Rings. It has a nice embroidered 'S' which stands for the House of El, the Superman Family Crest. All in all I like the look, you can even  somewhat see Superman's costume underneth.

Justice League #1 Review

These past few months there has been a lot of buzz around DC Comics new 52. 52 new number 1 issues that reshapes the DC Universe in some very major ways. With Justice League #1 we are introduced to these changes and what will be the new status quo. The first page opens up in Gotham City. The police are chasing Batman. There is also a caption that says 5 years ago. For me this puts everything in a kind of perspective. This is how the Justice League came to be. The issue primarily acts as a teem up book with Batman and Green Lantern investigating the same case. This would also mark the first meeting of the two. Because the case is alien in nature they figure they should check out the latest appearance the being known as Superman. As they trek we see a high school game in progress and the star athlete is Vic Stone, a major player in the future. As they get to Metropolis Green Lantern boast about aliens being his jurisdiction. As almost on cue he is laid low by Superman leaving only

Henry Cavil In Costume as Superman

Henry Cavil is the new Superman in the upcoming movie "Man Of Steel" directed by Zack Snyder. This aims to be a fresh and innovative take on the character and with a director like Snyder (300, Watchmen) this will be a sight to see. The movie's writer is David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight) and he seems to do his best work when it is a collaborative effort. Christopher Nolan (Inception, The Dark Knight) is Producer and I am sure he will be able to put things is a great perspective.  My thoughts on the uniform can be found HERE .
