Ever since Marvel Comics created its own movie studio back in ’08 there where much vaunted characters that remained with other movie studios. But as it turns out, time is running short on some high end characters. Daredevil and the Fantastic Four have been apart of Fox for years now and the contract, for Daredevil at least, will end before the year is out. Currently, according to Variety, Marvel is in talks with Fox to allow them to keep Daredevil past the deadline of October 10 th . Marvel will in turn get both Galactus and Silver Surfer in their stable. If this goes through Joe Carnahan will direct. His version is said to be more like a Frank Miller tale, hardcore and something akin to a ‘70s thriller. This would be the most apt take on the Superhero as his is very similar to Batman in terms of it being a Crime Drama. This would be a harder sell to Disney, the now Parent Company of Marvel.
