New Robocop Trailer First Impression

RoboCop

"Dead or alive, you're coming with me." What can I say? When I heard the new RoboCop say those words I smiled. This is the new remake of the classic '80s of the same name. When I first heard about the remake I was unsure how to take it. Not because I think remaking a movie is sacrilege, quite the opposite. I think you can remake anything from Star Wars to Leave it to Beaver. It's all about context and how it's all handled.

This new version seems to focus a bit more on the family. In the original, after Alex Murphy becomes RoboCop we get an idea that deep inside something in him is still human, even though it's quite obvious he is just a machine. But in this new one, we get more interaction with his wife and kid, and real emotion coming from the Robot form. If the film focuses on the dichotomy of Man and Machine like I hope they do this movie has a real chance at standing out instead of being just a shot for a shot remake like I felt the last Total Recall was.

The new RoboCop seems slick and cool in a fresh way. The trailer is not big or overly flashy. Some might say it looks generic, but I think that plays into its favor. RoboCop was never that super big type of movie, but it was big enough that made you wonder. I'm glad to see from the trailer that the original silver on black look for RoboCop still exists and it looks like it will play a major role in the movie. But we do see that all black suit, which still looks off. Not sure if it's because it has no other contrasting colors, Black on Red may have been interesting or that the black suit comes off a bit rubbery and not metallic at all like the silver suit. Either way, I welcome the change as long as it makes sense in the movie. Well, enough talk. Here is the trailer:

Marvel's Black Super-Heroes

Bishop: He is the X-Men team member from the future, a future where Mutants are hunted and locked away forever. Bishop himself is apart of the XSE (Xavier's Security Enforcers) a team that polices evil mutants. Bishop also had a sister called Shard; she died via a Vampire like infection. With his ability to absorb kinetic energy he can redirect that energy and fire them through his hands. Blade: Blade made his first appearance in the comic book series Tomb of Dracula #10 1973. He appeared through out the series here and there on numerous occasions. His first solo story was in Vampire Tales #8 1974. I was one of many Marvel Horror titles done in bland and white. Through out his adventures he has teemed up with a number of comic book heroes such as Ghost Rider, Morbius: the Living Vampire and even Spider-Man. Blade is a Dhampir, or half-breed, born of a Human mother and Vampire father. In the under world of demons and vampires he is more commonly known as the Day Walker. To read mo

DIANA PRINCESS (WONDER WOMAN)

Diana Princess (Wonder Woman) When I think of Wonder Woman I think of Lynda Carter.  She lets down her hair, arms stretching out, and spinning around, a large clap of light and thunder signifying her change into the Amazon Champion. Did you know that Wonder Woman was created by  William Moulton Marston  in 1941 who was greatly influenced by his wife? To create a strong female figure that young women could look up to. Well, I think this Wonder Woman movie did just that. Diana, daughter of Hippolyta princess of the Amazons was trained to be an unconquerable warrior. When she rescues an American pilot from the German Soldiers that have found their way onto the beach of Themyscira he tells her about the massive war that's raging in the outside world, convinced that this is Ares doing and that she can stop him Diana leaves her home for the first time. Fighting alongside men in a war to end all wars, she finally discovers her full powers and true de
